 Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a building performance engineer. Responsibilities include preparing energy analysis and building performance design consulting for commercial and multi-family new construction projects and major renovations for high performance and net zero energy projects. Understanding of current ASHRAE guidelines and communicate to clients. Reading and understanding construction documents, floor plans, specifications, and details. Travel will be required for this position.



The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university AND at least eight years of experience.


The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

  • 8 + year for building performance engineering
  • OpenStudio / Energy Plus experience
  • Ruby or Python experience
  • REVIT and Sketchup experience
  • EIT or PE
  • BEMP

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
