  • Responsibilities

    Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced civil engineer to join our aviation team. Responsibilities include designing and leading aviation engineering projects related to military airfields; evaluating and analyzing existing projects; preparing reports, budgets, cost estimates, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits; leading proactive client interactions and communications with military clients; performing QA/QC tasks including leading design reviews; serving as the project manager and mentoring project staff; and serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects. Travel will be required.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate must have all of the following:

    • a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering, or related field
    • at least eight years of relevant experience (at least four years of experience must be in military airfield design)
    • PE license in any state

    The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD Civil3D design software; leading the development of plans, specs, reports, cost estimates, and submittal packages for military projects; Specs-In-Tact software; PCASE software; project QA/QC including leading design reviews; serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects; preparing scopes, fees, and contracts.
