Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an entry-level engineer in our Myrtle Beach or Charleston, SC office. Responsibilities include assisting with the engineering design of water, wastewater, transportation, and utilities infrastructure projects; preparing reports, cost estimates, calculations, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and permits; performing technical design tasks; occasionally serving as an on-site project representative during construction. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university or be able to obtain the degree within six months of hire date.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: transportation design coursework; water/wastewater design coursework; AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation; Microsoft office software. The ideal candidate will also have passed the fundamentals of engineering exam.
