Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an opening for an entry-level structural engineer. Responsibilities include structural design and analysis of facilities comprised of steel, concrete, masonry, and wood; shop drawing review; reviewing and editing structural specifications and generating structural plans with oversight by a senior engineer. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil or structural engineering from an accredited four-year college or be able to obtain the degree within six months of start date.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: experience with and/or knowledge of steel, concrete, masonry, or wood design; experience with and/or knowledge of building codes; proficiency with engineering computer software including RISA, RAM, TEDDS, ENERACLC; previous structural internship experience; Engineer-In-Training certification.
