Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking an entry-level hydraulic engineer/hydrologist to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team in Sacramento, CA. Responsibilities include analyzing watersheds and stream hydraulics; performing flood mapping and dam failure analyses; and designing water resources and other civil engineering projects. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering or related field or be able to obtain degree within one month of hire date.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: passed the FE exam; HEC-RAS software; analyzing watersheds, stream hydraulics, and/or flood mapping; working with ESRI GIS products for data editing and geoprocessing workflows; HEC-HMS software; MS Office Suite (particularly Excel); AutoCAD Civil3D software; working on water resources projects.
