Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an exciting opportunity available for an entry-level civil engineering technician to join our municipal group. Responsibilities include analyzing and preparing engineering reports, specifications, construction cost estimates, and plans for various municipal and private development design projects; performing drafting tasks in AutoCAD and Civil3D to generate plan sheets; assisting with construction administration tasks including working in the field at project sites. Some travel and a valid driver’s license will be required.
The successful candidate will have an associate degree (or higher) in civil engineering technology or related field, or be able to attain a degree within nine months of hire date. If no degree, must have at least two years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D software programs; construction field experience including knowledge of site grading, utilities, drainage, erosion control, paving, materials testing, and/or surveying; civil/municipal design coursework; working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
