Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has position available for a part-time transportation planner. The hours for this position could vary weekly from 30 to 40, and potentially sometimes more than 40 with the average being 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities include leading project scoping reports; determining project level impacts; coordinating and preparing NEPA/SEPA documents; preparation of environmental assessments, permit applications, jurisdictional determinations, mitigation planning; agency and client coordination; providing technical guidance to junior level staff. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in planning, engineering or related field, AND at least six years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: NCDOT environmental compliance projects and documents; preparing NEPA/SEPT documents for NCDOT projects; technical report writing and editing; coordinating with federal, state and local agencies; MS Office.
