    Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized, award-winning professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, commissioning agent to join our team.


    Responsibilities include functioning as the owner’s advocate and commissioning authority on projects; reviewing engineering designs; developing commissioning plans; conducting periodic construction site inspections; testing system functionality; resolving issues identified by the commissioning process; and preparing commissioning reports. Entrance onto military bases is an essential function of this position; candidates must be able to pass federal, state, and/or local agency background checks. Travel will be required.


    The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical, electrical or architectural engineering AND at least five years of relevant commissioning experience; OR if no degree, at least nine years of relevant commissioning experience.


    The ideal candidate(s) will have any/all of the following: certification through the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB), AABE Commissioning Group (ACG), Building Commissioning Association (BCxA), ASHRAE, or equivalent; experience installing, engineering, or programming building control systems; experience acting as the commissioning authority on multiple LEED projects; experience commissioning smoke control systems; experience designing mechanical or electrical building systems; PE license in any state.
