Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a part-time position available for an experienced refrigeration engineer.
Responsibilities include conducting job-site surveys; calculating refrigeration requirements for process cooling and building loads; assisting in the development of project documentation including: drawings, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), equipment schedules, details, specifications, scope of work, etc.; selecting and applying system equipment to new and existing systems; and coordinating technical specifications, delivery requirements, and quotation parameters with outside equipment suppliers, subcontractors and clients. Some travel may be required.
The hours for this position could vary and will be based on candidate’s availability. This position is currently a part-time (i.e., no benefits) position.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering from a four-year college or university and at least twelve years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: experience with equipment selection; experience developing P&IDs; familiarity with managing project invoices; experience working directly with clients including marketing to obtain future work; proficiency in Microsoft Office software; a PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states; experience mentoring less experienced staff.
