Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. We are looking to hire on-call water/wastewater operator.
Responsibilities include responding to emergency conditions, mechanical failures, power outages, and customer complaints. The ability to respond promptly to emergencies and some travel will be required.
The hours for this position could vary depending on candidate’s availability; it is currently an on-call (i.e., no benefits) position.
The successful candidate will have a certificate or higher in water technology or a related field; if no degree, then at least one year of relevant wastewater operations experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: Michigan C Wastewater license; Michigan S-3, D-3 Water Treatment license; familiarity with the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations (e.g., maintaining piping, pumps, valves, and tanks); operating and maintaining instrumentation on treatment systems and meters; understanding of principles and methods of bacteriological and chemical water/wastewater treatment; knowledge of wastewater collection systems and water distribution systems; knowledge of/ experience with safety training.
