Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a limited-term position available for a cultural resources intern. This position starts in June 2018 and is expected to be full-time this summer with the possibility of continuing (depending on workload) into the fall.
This position offers you an opportunity to conduct research, author property descriptions and histories, develop historic contexts, and conduct field surveys to document historic properties while applying the National Register Criteria to determine National Register eligibility. Travel will be necessary.
This position is currently not a benefits-eligible position but could potentially be converted to a regular, benefits-eligible position.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s (or higher) in art history, architectural history, American studies, historic preservation, history; or closely related field; or obtain the degree within three months of hire.
The ideal candidate will possess any/all of the following: understanding of American architectural styles; availability to conduct field work; strong research and writing skills; master’s degree in art history, architectural history, American studies, historic preservation, history; or closely related field.
