Mead & Hunt, a nationwide professional services consulting firm, has a rare and exciting opportunity for a benefits administrator to join our fast-paced human resources department.
This mission-critical position oversees all aspects of our employee benefits programs and compliance with associated laws, rules, and regulations; is a point of contact for our employees throughout the country for questions related to our benefits programs; and provides recommendations to management regarding how to improve our benefits to keep Mead & Hunt an employer of choice. The ability to maintain confidentiality is absolutely essential. Occasional travel and overnight stays will be required.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in human resources, business, or other relevant field and at least five years of experience working with company-sponsored employee benefits.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: strong working knowledge of benefits administration, communications, and compliance; experience with self-funded insurance plans; thorough knowledge of benefits laws and regulations including COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, ADA, FMLA, etc. as well as other laws applicable to benefits; ability to interpret regulations and administer benefits plans in compliance with legal requirements; experience using benefit administration/enrollment software; proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); supervisory experience. CEBS certification is a plus but not required.
