Overview

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an accounts payable specialist in our Finance department.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include maintaining vendor records; processing accounts payable, including verifying invoices and obtaining appropriate approvals; processing and reconciling EFT payments and credit card statements; verifying employee expense reports; reconciling other appropriate accounting data and maintaining accounting department files; and helping with other tasks in the Finance department as needed.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have an associate degree (or higher) and at least three months experience with computerized accounting systems.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: processing accounts payable invoices and creating and maintaining vendor records; accounting software (Deltek Vision preferred); processing and reconciling EFT payments and credit card statements; verifying expense reports;

  

working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding expenses and payables; working with employees at other locations throughout the country and team collaboration; troubleshooting expense report and accounts payable coding errors; attention to detail and emphasis on process documentation; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
