Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an experienced engineer.
Responsibilities include preparing preliminary and final roadway drainage designs for state and municipal transportation projects; preparing bridge and culvert hydraulic reports/designs for both FEMA regulated and non-regulated streams; preparing project cost estimates for hydraulic related projects. Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: familiarity with NCDOT hydraulics unit design policies and procedures; experience with hydraulic modeling for bridges and culverts over FEMA regulated streams; FEMA flood map revision experience; experience with Microstation and/or Geopak drainage software; design-build experience.
