Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a survey technician. 


Responsibilities include operating survey instruments; recording field data for SCDOT route surveys and boundary surveys; and using AutoCAD and/or Microstation. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position; a valid driver’s license is required. Extended hours and overnight stays will be required.


Successful candidates must have an associate degree in land surveying, civil engineering, or related field OR if no degree, must have at least 2 years of related experience.


Ideal candidates will have experience with any/all of the following: construction layout surveys; GPS and Robotic Total Stations; SCDOT transportation route surveys; AutoCAD and/or Microstation; working alone as a one-man survey crew; boundary and topographic surveys.
