Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated full-time survey chief. This position could be located in our Lexington, SC or Charleston, SC office.
Responsibilities include understanding and operating a robotic total station; performing courthouse research, topographic and boundary surveys and construction stakeouts. Extended hours and travel will be required.
The successful candidate will have an associate degree in land surveying or civil engineering and at least 4 years of relevant experience OR a bachelor’s degree in surveying or civil engineering and 2 years of relevant experience. If no degree, must have at least 6 years of relevant experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: collecting topographic field data for boundary surveys and SCDOT route surveys; creating CAD base maps; conducting courthouse research; operating GPS survey equipment; using data collectors and/or robotic total stations; survey data processing; Microstation, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Land Development Desktop.
