Overview

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we have a full-time position available for an experienced project engineer. 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include working with clients and managing project teams to develop and deliver high quality refrigeration and mechanical system designs; leading and executing technical design efforts including engineering calculations, systems design, P&ID generation, and layout drawings; developing and managing client contacts; developing proposals including scope, schedule, and pricing; and providing project quality control. Projects include planning, design, and construction administration services for the food and beverage industry. Frequent travel will be required.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have all of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering from an accredited four-year college or university;
  • at least eight years of relevant work experience; and
  • PE license in any state with ability to obtain in other states within six months of start date

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: managing food and beverage building projects; auditing, designing, and start-up of advanced refrigeration systems (including ammonia and halocarbon), HVAC, and mechanical utility systems; managing project invoices; working directly with clients including marketing to obtain future work; proposal development; quality control; mentoring less experienced staff.
