Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level structural engineer to work with our water resources department.
Responsibilities include analyzing and designing new and renovated water retaining structures for private and public clients; preparing reports; reviewing shop drawings and construction submittals; developing plan and specification sets; field inspections/structural observations; and possible construction supervision. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil engineering with an emphasis in structures.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: reinforced concrete and steel design; software including Microsoft Excel, Visual Analysis, RAM, RISA, SOLIDWORKS, and/or SAP2000; specification development; construction inspection; submittal review; responding to requests for information; EIT certification.
